trapshooters since the first Illinois State Trapshoot in 1874! Our mission is promoting
trapshooting as a wholesome sport enjoyed by people from all walks of life. Families,
youths to seniors, men and women participate in trapshooting. It's an environment that
promotes good sportsmanship and conduct.

As the National Governing Body for the Scholastic Clay Target Program (SCTP), we
provide kids from elementary grades through high school and college with the opportunity
to participate in the fun and challenging sports of Trap, Skeet and Sporting Clays, as well
as the Olympic disciplines of Bunker Trap, Trap Doubles and International Skeet. SSSF is
the official feeder program to USA Shooting and a path to the U.S. Olympic Shooting Team.
